1. Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult - Done...loved the style of writing...
2. Inscrutable Americans by Anurag Mathur - Done...absolutely hilarious ... :)
3. Snow by Orhan Phamuk - is testing my patience...
4. Racists by Kunal Basu - Done...A let down... :(
Racists - Kunal Basu

A novel that begins well...keeps you rivetted...but the end is a let down :(
Just remembered "The Rainmaker" was my first serious/big novel (not counting the hundreds of Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew/Famous Fives).
Of course I struggled through the book...surprised that John Grisham needed 3 pages to describe the night outside (which in my opinion was utterly irrelevant)...skipped a few pages every now n then...finishing it became a challenge...
and the indescribable delight when I finished it... :)

And another memorable read...the "Fountainhead"...first attempted in Apr 2004...deserted after 50 pages...and the next, more determined attempt in May 2005...10-20 pages at a time...and Oct 29, 2005 when I finally finished it... :)
April reads:
1. The immortals of Meluha by Amish - Done
2. The small little things in life and love by Rahul Saini - Done
3. Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult - 65 pages read...lots more to go :)

Changing times...

I now sleep for 6.5 hours...a full 1 hour over my 2009 average ;)

And while my little one sleeps...

I catch up with updates on the networking sites...
I watch TV...
I read...
I pay my bills...
I talk on phone...
I eat at the dining table...
I reply to mails...

:)

Honesty surcharge!!!

Hiring an auto to take me from BTM to Girinagar is not my favourite activity., given the step-motherly treatment every auto-driver doles out to Girinagar (with the hope of making a quick buck, of course).
By now, I am pretty used to the "one and half kodi saar...allinda khali barbeku"..."meter mele 20 rs extra kodi...traffic jaasthi"...
however, the 10th auto driver I asked today came up with a novel idea when I snapped at him for the usual "meter mele 20 rs extra kodi...allinda khali barbeku"...he told "20 rs extra koDi saar, nunn meter charrect aagi idey" :D

Aadi's second holi :)

Before the bath...

And after the bath...

Like Rashmi said, "He might prefer you (a take on my previous entry), but he has Sheetal's attitude" :)
Wednesday is that day of the week, when you feel closer to the coming weekend, that you do to the weekend that passed...

A sense of pride...

or is it achievement...when your kid wants to come to you (his dad, of course) rather than his mom :)
